On April 22nd, a new documentary, Saving Banksy, will premiere at the Nashville Film Festival. The film is a the story of one misguided art collector’s attempt to preserve a Banksy from destruction and the auction block. What would you do if someone offered you a small fortune for a painting that was never meant to be sold? This is the story of a multi-million dollar international art heist. Paintings done for the public, removed by art dealers without the artist’s consent and sold in high end galleries and auctions. The artist receives nothing from the sale of these paintings. Unlike most art heists, this one is perfectly legal. Saving Banksy features artists Ben Eine, Risk, Revok, Niels Mueman, Blek Le Rat, Anthony Lister, Doze Green and Glen E Friedman
