Hello! I am considering purchasing a small collection of 5 mid-20th-century paintings. Most of them are Norwegian, but one is possibly Italian.

For now, I’m posting just the front sides to get your opinion on the quality of the art itself. I also have photos of the signatures and the backsides with some pencil notes — I will gladly share them in the comments below as we discuss each piece.

What do you think about these?

These appear to be hobby-produced items rather than works with an established collector market. As a result, their value is largely subjective and depends on what they are worth to you personally. From a market perspective, they would likely have little to no measurable resale value.

Thank you for your opinion! I understand these might be amateur works, but I’d still like to get to the bottom of this. One of the paintings (the one that might be Italian) is signed “Corbi”. Have you ever heard of this artist? Could it be the Italian painter Gennaro Corbi, or perhaps some Scandinavian master? I will attach a photo of this signature.
