Celebrating Tracey Emin at 60 | New Limited Edition Print
Launching Thursday 6th July 11AM (UK BST)
We are excited to announce that we will be launching a new limited edition print by Tracey Emin next week!
To celebrate Tracey Eminâs 60th birthday we are launching a new limited edition of lithographic prints created in Counter Studio, Margate.
Last week, the National Portrait Gallery reopened after a three year redevelopment to reveal its spectacular rebirth. Tracey Emin was invited to create a site specific artwork which was unveiled at the launch. The series of 4 metre high doors display 45 hand-drawn portraits by Emin cast in bronze.
âWomen in history are greatly underrepresented. I didnât want to depict specific or identifiable figures. I felt like the doors of the National Portrait Gallery should represent every woman, every age and every culture throughout time.â
We canât wait to share more about the new prints in the lead up to the launch!
