Dear Friends of Galerie Krinzinger,

Our special presentation of the new series „Energy Clothes“ byMarina Abramović at Frieze London, parallel to her major museum show at Royal Academy in London, was a big success.

The Energy Clothes were developed in 2001 during a course Marina Abramović was teaching at the Fondazione Antonio Ratti in Como, Italy and then further explored that same year at the Calder Foundation in Saché, France. Marina Abramović produced a series of objects to be worn as clothing, Energy Hats, Energy Masks and Energy Bands, made of locally sourced silk in seven bright colors and with magnets as the energy force. Working directly with her students, Marina Abramović instructed them on how to use the clothing as they went about actions and situations of their daily routines - taking a bath, ironing the clothes, watering the plants, brushing the teeth - unveiling the Energy Clothes prompt to the public for an internal meditation possible in ordinary life.

We are excited to announce that we will be launching a new limited edition print by Benjamin Senior next week!

Coinciding with Senior’s major solo exhibition, Minor Streets, currently on at Carl Freedman Gallery, we are launching a new limited edition 11 colour lithograph which was produced in Counter Studio, Margate.

Senior describes his approach to his work as social realist - walking the streets, making daily observations of mulitcultural London.

Drawn to commonplace scenes that we might pass through on autopilot, Senior is interested in finding the abstract and unfamiliar beauty of everyday life. After the viewer has seen his work, he hopes their vision of the world is coloured by it.

We can’t wait to share more abut the new print in the lead up to the launch!

Kotao Tomozawa’s fascination with the uncanny continues in our latest collaboration. Following the success of slime XCIX, the slime baby returns in three dimensions. The bronze sculpture mimics Tomozawa’s childhood doll – a companion in her early experiments with slime.

Ruki-chan launches in two colourways on the 8th November.
