HENI is delighted to present The Light That Shines , an application-based drop featuring original works from Damien Hirst’s new series: The Empress Paintings , Cosmos Paintings and Satellites sculptures.
The works are now available to purchase on HENI Primary.
The Empress Paintings is a series of paintings depicting compositions of red, black and gold butterfly wings. The works are named after influential female rulers from history, such as Hatshepsut, pharaoh of Egypt in the fifteenth century BC, and the Roman empress Agrippina.
Cosmos Paintings is a series of oil on canvas works inspired by Hirst’s interest in space, particularly the long-exposure images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.
Satellites is a series of sculptures cast in bronze. Each work is modelled on, and named after, actual satellites that have been sent into space, including ‘Hubble’ and ‘Sputnik-1’.
To coincide with the drop, HENI presents an exhibition, The Light That Shines, at Château La Coste, Provence, where a selection of works from these series are being exhibited for the first time.

NICK SMITH
‘Psalm 65 & 104’
Proudly announcing a brand new set of limited editions from internationally celebrated contemporary artist Nick Smith.
For his first release of 2024 we see the artist return to his Psalms series with him re-envisioning two well-known & much loved food brands. In keeping with the Psalms series and similar to his standout Polytheism series (2023), the text on these prints have biblical references that reimagine iconic brands as ‘higher powers’ that are worshipped, adored and followed religiously.
'Psalm 65 and ‘Psalm 104’ are classic Nick Smith reinterpretations of two of Britain’s favourite tinned pantry foods; offering many of us the comforting hug of childhood nostalgia.
These two low edition new releases by Nick are sure to become classics within his portfolio and an essential addition for any avid collector.
Both editions launch on the Thursday, 28th March at 4pm (GMT) through the RHODES Editions Drop Site .
