Printed Matter is thrilled to announce the second and third prints in a series of three fundraising Risograph editions by artist Todd Hido. These prints are now available for purchase via the links below. A limited number of prints are available for purchase at Printed Matter’s booth at OFFSCREEN in Paris at the Grand Garage Haussmann, October 15–20.

These two images bookend Hido’s most recent Risograph print, launched by Printed Matter last month. The newly released second print in the series, #2424-a, is exemplary of the artist’s early days photographing the effects of different light sources on nocturnal snowscapes.
Exactingly printed by Eva Parra of Calipso Press, each image uses a bespoke ink set. #2424-a uses yellow, fluorescent pink, aqua, and black inks; #3878, an interior image depicting the flicking light of a television on a motel bed, was printed using yellow, coral, light teal, and black. The second and third prints in this series further demonstrate the unique ability 
of the Risograph-printing process to expand upon the subtleties of shadow, texture, and darkness of the reproduced image.

Introducing ‘Thierry Noir Primary’
Thierry Noir Primary is a new digital platform for the direct release to collectors of original and editioned Thierry Noir artworks through an online application based process.
Releases of artworks are periodical and linked to Thierry Noir projects past, present and future.
The first release under Thierry Noir Primary is The energy of the moment takes us through the night, a large scale screenprint in an edition of 50.
The new screenprint edition marks the one year anniversary of the Techno exhibition at Christie’s in London and is available to apply for now.
