Den Nigerianske kunstneren Njideka Akunyili Crosby er ett av sitt lands store internasjonale tungvektere sammen med Otobong Nkanga, Chris Ofili, El Anatsui, Yinka Shonibare og Gerald Chukwuma - de har satt Nigeria pÄ kartet som ett av de mest spennene afrikanske kunst landene, de fleste har sitt bosted utenfor sitt hjemland - Crosby i Los Angeles. Hennes malerier er gjennomgÄende i sterke jordfarger. I hennes fÞrste litografi har hun gÄtt tilbake til ett tidlig maleri og laget ett utsnitt av sitt ansikt - trykket i monokrome grÄtoner, noe som hun bruker i sine tegninger. Litografiet kommer i en boks sammen med den nye monografien om hennes kunstnerskap. Maleriene hennes er blitt dyre for de fleste av oss, men her er en mulighet til Ä fÄ ett selvstendig verk der det vises en kunstner som har lagt ned tid og ressurser pÄ Ä fÄ til noe mere enn ett slapt blekk print skult bak fine franske synonymer.

Trivelig og dyr. Problemet mitt med Koons (som har noen fete verk) er at det dukker opp bilder i hodet av han og La Cicciolina og da stopper det litt opp for min del

In Lucky Charms are Magically Delicious, the primary character of the iconic movie
E.T. (1982) is surrounded by the marshmallow cereal pieces instantly recognizable to American consumers. Described as having a massive influence during Bernhardtâs childhood, E.T. 's character first appeared in paintings created during the artistâs undergraduate career at the Art Institute of Chicago, and has been a recurring figure
ever since.
The workâs title is a direct reference to the slogan popularized by the cereal brandâs cartoon leprechaun mascot, tapping into viewersâ collective childhood nostalgia. Distinguished from the brown background by a thin, yellow contour, the central figure stares outward, with an ambiguous expression that counterbalances the imageâs
inherent playfulness.
