Dotmasters is a frequent visitor to Stavanger - the city has witnessed each stage of his career. This year
is his tenth anniversary, so it’s only fitting that the Cutting Comments exhibition reminisces over some of these shared experiences. Tagging, half-tone masterpieces and gesticulating kids sit alongside new toys
thrown from the Dotmasters pram in this irreverent, tongue-in-cheek retrospective of walls gone by.
The Dotmasters pick ‘n’ mix wall has become something of a tradition for Reed Projects shows.
Cutting Comments is no exception and sees the return of these hand-crafted slices from the Dot archives.
A new hand-finished print from the Toy series has been released exclusively for Stavanger, home of the very first Dotmasters toy work on Pedersgata.
It’s also a first outing for all the Rude Kids: all 10 feature in the show, including a set painted on £10 notes that merges graffiti with bad manners and defacing the coin of the realm - a treasonable act - giving
you three crimes for the price of one…
