You can finally get your hands on the special joint collaborative edition between renowned international contemporary artist Alexandre Farto aka Vhils and Bordalo II, the disruptive sculptor drawing awareness to pollution and excessive production.
Origin and Evolution replicate the artwork for which Vhils and Bordalo II linked up for the first time: a mural done for the ‘Cor de Chelas’ festival, in the eponymous neighborhood of Lisbon. Merging the bas-relief carvings of Vhils and Bordalo II’s use of recycled materials, these are powerful pieces that reflect on identity and over-consumption. A thought-provoking commentary on our interaction with urban environments and nature.
Evolution is strictly limited to 35 copies, hand-finished by the artists with quink ink, bleach and spray. For both Origin and Evolution, you can also acquire the Artist’s Proofs, which are among the finest samples of the edition, usually kept by the artists for their personal archives. Additionally we are also releasing a reduced number of exceptionally high-quality Roman Numeral editions, with an elevated intrinsic value.
