I hope that you are having a good week. First I would like to say thank you to everyone who replied to my previous email about the difference between vinyl, resin and wood, to say that it was helpful and educational. I am glad that even though I didnât go into too many details, many found value in the content of that newsletter. I hope you didnât mind the little typo in the title.
I have a very exciting announcement for you today. Last year in April, together with MightyJaxx and PremiumWorked, we released a widely popular version of the premium layered wooden POPek 8" tall. It was by far the most successful release of the year and was sold in 234 editions. Since then, I received many emails asking if I will be releasing a signed version of the sculpture. After a long wait, the production is now finished and the colourful Layered Wooden POPeks are here and they look absolutely stunning. Honestly, when I got them out of the boxes, I could not stop staring. This is the next level of balloon dog art. They look so beautiful and colourful with a smooth surface crafted to perfection. Seriously, this is as premium as the wooden balloon dog of this size can get. Additionally, each one comes in a beautiful wooden box which you can see in the photos below.
I have only 20 editions of this deluxe artwork, each one is signed and has a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. I will be releasing them for sale tomorrow Friday. 26th of February for 48 hours only. They are 8" tall and each one is unique. Due to the colourful layered wood material, each sculpture has its own, individual and distinctive colour pattern. The POPek balloon dogs canât really get more unique than this release. If thatâs not enough, those are the only 20 signed editions available worldwide.

Damien Hirst -The Virtues
HENI Leviathan is delighted to release a set of eight cherry blossom prints by Damien Hirst, The Virtues, published by HENI Editions. The eight prints are each titled after one of The Eight Virtues of BushidĆ according to Nitobe InazĆ â Justice, Courage, Mercy, Politeness, Honesty, Honour, Loyalty, Control.
In 1900 Nitobe InazĆ published a book, BushidĆ: The Soul of Japan, which narrates for Western audiences the samurai code of ethics known as BushidĆ. According to Nitobe, BushidĆ literally translates to âMilitary-Knight-Waysâ and lists the ways in which fighting Japanese nobles were expected to maintain themselves in their daily and vocational lives. In Nitobeâs account this code is divided into eight virtues, which are responsible for customs such as the tea ceremony and behaviour like tranquillity even in the face of danger. Nitobe has stated his intention was to unveil the cultural similarities between Japan and the West, effectively concluding âthat there are no East or West as far as human beings are concernedâ.
Referencing Impressionism, Pointillism and Action Painting, the Cherry Blossoms are about the spontaneous joy of spring. Damien Hirst said âCherry Blossoms are about beauty and life and death. Theyâre extreme â thereâs something hopeful yet hopeless about them. Theyâre art but taken from nature. Theyâre about desire and how we process love and why we need it, but also these prints are about the momentary, the insane transience of beauty â a tree in full crazy blossom against a clear blue sky. How can you argue with that? Itâs been so good to make these prints, to be completely lost in colour for a while. Blossoms are optimistic and bright yet fragile, just like we are and I hope that The Virtues can remind us to always try and get the most from life.â
