Hama Woods (NO) recently joined forces with Nuart Gallery and Radisson Atlantic for the commission of an indoor mural for Stavanger’s newest hotel. The wall, which can be found at the restaurant area, depicts two squirrels forming with rope the word ‘HELP’. An invite to participate and help in a process of nature revival, which highlights Hama Wood’s reverence for nature and its immediate connection with humanity.
Artist statement: “Two squirrels, deep in the woods, try to get your attention. From a branch of an old oak tree they step by step form letters with the black rope they found under the roots of the wise owl’s home. They are asking for help with the hope that you can maybe rethink the choices you make which effect today and tomorrow.”
